Julie Riis Andersen (b. 1988) is a research based conceptual artist that works with digital imagery often in the mediums of paper, print, and installation. Sampling and reprinting images largely from online media and mass-produced decor, she delves into the ambivalence and uncertainty of today’s consumer culture. Based in Denmark, she holds a MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen (2015) She has been awarded by Niels Wessel Bagges Kunstnerfond, 15. Juni fonden and Ole Haslunds Kunstnerfond and nominated for the Queen Soja print award. She is a member of the board in The Danish Printmaker Association and her work is represented in The Kastrupgård Collection.
